Eldama Ravine Former Councilor Abdul Musa has called on political leaders vying for different political seats to let the young generation vie and lead the country.

“It is time we give way for the young generation to vie for political seats in our country.” Said the Former Councilor.

Abdul noted that women are also not left behind in the political contest saying that it is a good cause and should be embraced.

Abdul’s sentiments were echoed by Nickson Mutai who is vying for Eldama Ravine Constituency parliamentary seat who said that they are ready to take over from the previous generation.

“Abdul has said it very well that the elderly have done their part in bringing development to our country we are grateful for the last 25 years they have been leading and we are now ready to take over from them.” Noted Mutai.

On his end Baringo County Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Richard Koech said that Baringo County needs new leaders who are going to take the County to the next level development wise.

Koech who is eyeing Baringo’s Gubenatorial seat added that having served close to nine years in different Counties he believes that he is experienced enough to lead Baringo County, urging Baringo Former Governor Benjamin Cheboi to step aside in the contest.

“I have worked in the devolution for about nine years now and I have experience to run Baringo County. I thank the Former Governor Cheboi for having worked in his government and through him I am convinced that I have what it takes to be the next governor.” Said the CPA.

While responding to Koech, Baringo First Governor Benjamin Cheboi said that he taught Koech the little he knows and the teacher is better than the student.

“Koech is like my son and I took him as my accountant while I was in office. He has said that I taught him devolution and I want to ask you who is better between the teacher and the student?” Cheboi asked.

He also asked political aspirants to have manifestos that is going to bring development to the County once they are elected.
