The family of the late Kalenjin hitmaker Harmon Kipkurui alias Rhino Kaboom has said that life has not been the same since the demise of their loved one.
Speaking to Baringo News after the first memorial service of the late, that was attended by Kalenjin musicians and hundreds of locals at their Kapchelanga home, in Londiani Kericho County the family said that the death of Kaboom was a big blow since he played a great role in the family.
According to the mother of the late, the wounds are still fresh in their hearts and they are praying to God to ease the pain.
The wife of the late, Mercy Rono said that a lot has changed and providing for their son is a challenge.
She however thanked artist friends of her late husband for the support they have been giving her noting that they have been frequently visiting her and giving her moral support.
The family also called on leaders and friends who had pledged to help the family honor their pledges including Baringo governor Stanley Kiptis whom had promised to support the family forty days after the burial of the late Kaboom and it is now a year with the County Boss not keeping his promise.
Ms. Mercy said that she has been trying to get in touch with the governor but in vain.
The Lulu hitmaker died last year October 4th, 2020 in a grisly accident near Saos along Eldama Ravine-Emining road after his motorbike came head-on with a Toyota Probox.
