Baringo Former Governor Benjamin Cheboi has called on Kenyans to live peacefully now and even after the 2022 general elections.
Speaking at the burial ceremony of Mzee Job Lalang’ at Lebolos Eldama Ravine, Cheboi said that Kenyans can live peacefully by themselves and their harmony cannot be determined by ‘a piece of paper written by a few individuals’ referring to BBI.
“Let us be at peace and prove those few individuals that we do not need a piece of paper to live peacefully, let’s make sure we live at peace now and even after the 2022 general elections.” Pleaded Cheboi.
He added that Kenyans should be peace ambassadors and protect the constitution, adding that peace can be attained without referendum or constitutional amendments.
“We have been told for a while that we need BBI to have peace in our country and I want to urge us to prove them wrong. BBI is not good for all of us it was meant to benefit a few individuals.” Said Cheboi.
He applauded the Court of Appeal for nullifying the Building Bridges Initiative process saying that Kenyans can live peacefully urging them to pray for peace as we approach 2022General Elections.
“Let us thanks God and pray that we are not going to have any squabbles after the coming elections.” Urged the Former governor.
